Burnt Offerings is a supernaturally themed roleplay that takes place in present day New Orleans. In this world... Supernaturals have been 'outed' to the public, and live as legalized citizens moderated by law. Supernatural discrimination is illegal, but occurs often in most areas, and any crime involving the supernatural population is handled by a specialized RPIT detachment in every large city. Breaking supernatural law leaves one a target of the government sanctioned executioners. Supernatural politics are conducted as separate from human politics, and have their own rigid guidelines -- any supernatural must be granted permission to stay by the primary supernatural authority of the area, before making any place their home. New Orleans has been rebuilt after the devastating Hurricane Katrina and is known the world over for its unique style. The city is famous for cultural diversity, voodoo, jazz, and its long history of supernatural activity, particularly the unique haven it has become under the Queen. Due to this, New Orleans is the second largest supernatural population in North America following St. Louis, and is unarguably the most cohesive supernatural population in the world. The city is also famed for the French Quarter myriad of events, from jazz festivals for the classic hearted, Mardis Gras for the adventurous, and a visit to Burnt Offerings for supernatural tourism. Burnt Offerings is the hottest jazz club in the Big Easy. The establishment is located on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter and caters to the supernatural, but is also a human friendly environment. The night club is owned by the famed Queen of Louisiana and Master of City, Presea de Keltoi, and boasts a full diverse menu created by celebrated supernatural chef Selena Aguilar, and devious mixtress, Terissa Dewdrop.
