Sunshine, beach parties, picnics, and waterballoon fights are all staples of the hot Summer months, and here in Furcadia it also means it's time to celebrate the annual Festival of the Sun!
Like with all festivals, there is much to see and do! Wander the exotic market for a special trinket, riddle with a Sphinx, ride an impressive barge down the river, or explore mysterious ancient catacombs. Don't forget to pay tribute to our Lady M'Rill, Prime of Felines, as well! She may just reward you for your patronage!
New this year -- Whispers upon the warm, dry breezes speak of the sudden appearance of a long-forgotten hidden tomb, wreathed in mystery and darkness. The tale of a terrible Nameless King scrawled across the tomb's exterior hint at the potential peril of delving into the depths, but every great adventure has an element of danger, no? A troupe of archaeologists have set up around the entrance, offering tools and guidance to any would-be treasure seekers come to try their luck within the catacombs, so grab a torch and pickaxe and venture into the unknown! Who knows what amazing and wondrous things you'll discover?
In celebration of the unveiling of this incredible new game, there are two super fun contests to go along with it!
It's time to "Walk like a Furregyptian"! The recent release of custom specitags means a whole new level of customization for your characters. Show us what your ancient Aegyptian side looks like by designing a sleek and super cool themed specitag.
If putting quill to papyrus is more your style, get creative by writing out a short story all about treasure hunting through this newly discovered ancient tomb.

- Create your unique design in either remapping or non-remapping format
- Remapping images must be made in FSHEd with 8bit colors and legacy file format

- Any entries not meeting the requirements will be disqualified and none are guaranteed a prize.

- Upon submission, you grant Dragon’s Eye Productions (DEP) permission to post your work and share it with the community. DEP may post, edit, and distribute creative contributions made through contests freely to players and for promotion of Furcadia.

And, of course, the arrival of the Festival of the Sun also means that the Lighting of the Fires is not far off. This traditional event is held annually within the Festival grounds and always sees a huge gathering! Felorin and Talzhemir will be on hand to light the fires -- you may even catch a glimpse of M'Rill herself! So be sure to watch for the date announcement!
