The dream is set in country known as Karo, A land bordered on two sides by a volcanic mountain range, and on the other two by a vast ocean and a long expanse of windswept hills. Within these borders is a large plain split in half by a river, geographically, and split in six elsewise by the six noble Karoni families. The members of these families aren't necessarily related to eachother, but are pledged to their family's cause nonetheless. The opulant Gryphons, the physically strong Dragons, the warrior Wolves, the holy Lions, the plotting Death, and the nature-loving Life families all place their own claim on the long-empty throne of Karo, with their own claims to a better way of life for the country should they be allowed to ascend to it. Other families lie just barely within Karo's borders, but have so far been content to sit and wait out the
constant fights, plotting, and drama. Perhaps one day one or all of them will decide to join in the fight for the Karoni throne. Horses, donkeys, mules, and the other usual beasts of burden are not commonly used in Karo or it's surrounding countries. In their place is the saurian Paraloph, which can walk on two powerful hind legs, or four if it includes it's notably smaller front legs. These beasts are covered in feathers and can come in a variety of colors, but cannot fly. People unassociated with the noble families do sometimes traverse the land. The most notable of these is the close-knit mercenary/gypsie group known as the Frakciya, which are distinguished by their group's garb of long
robes with various pieces of armor over top of them. The Frakciya's prefered weapon is a stout wooden staff, but they are trained to use a variety of weapons from a young age, along with how to barter and entertain.
