It is a realm that bridges the gap between the world of the living, and the world of the dead. It is a purgatory in which wolves sometimes end up in if they have perished in the world of the living, but it is not where the dead stay. Eventually, the dead will be judged and either go to heaven or hell. The meadow is protected by a terrible beast, known simply as the Guardian, a vicious and mighty god of the realm.
